With no endgame in sight, one GoT fan muses as to whether we should just give up on The Winds of Winter. Do you think we should let the author off the hook?

This has really become an unfortunate situation, where the author has become a victim of his own success. If it does actually materialize, I will absolutely be first in line to receive. But personally I'm waaay past breath-holding.
