why is there no book 3.5 of the shatter me series?

I've noticed that there's no third novella in the series after Ignite Me and before Restore Me, is there a reason for this, and if there is a novella pls let me know the name of it!

because it was actually supposed to be a trilogy, then the author started milking the series and she started immediately at the 4th book.
