If there are any requests for buddy reads in August, please list them here so I can get the threads started for y'all!

I'm new to Goodreads. Please tell me how these buddy reads work.

Welcome, Deborah! For buddy reads, someone might post in this thread saying that they plan on reading a particular book (or multiple books), and ask if anyone is interested in reading along and discussing the book as kind of a mini book club sort of thing. Other people might choose to make those initial connections outside of the group but then tell me as the moderator in charge of buddy reads that they will be reading a certain title between certain dates (the standard reading period is one month from the start date) and that others in the group are welcome to join them.
Thank you for asking the question! It really made me think about how I would describe this feature of our CFD group here! If you have any further questions or requests for a possible 'buddy read' for August, please do let me know! 🙂

Ok . . . I have no idea what's going on . . . I've tried to post the thread for The Solid Grounds Coffee Company TWICE, and it is not showing up in the folder!
Or is it showing for other people, and is just not showing up for me?

I would like to join you in reading . I already have the book and was planning on reading it in September, but I'm ok with reading it in August. Any day is fine with me.

August is fine. Jen Turano is the author of the month for September. I already have 3 other books set aside, so maybe it's best that I read this one earlier. :)

I love thrift store books. Another for Mitford. I have one buddy read ahead of this so I would be open to reading after the 15th.

I can read at leisure, so any time works for me. I look forward to finally starting this series!

Since both of you can start any time. How about the 5th?

I can multi task and read both buddy reads at the same time this month. That will give me time to finish up the botm for August.

Deborah - in addition to John's Story, two other biblical fiction in that set are and (diary of Mary Magdalene). Are you interested in reading either of those too?

I am currently traveling and will not be able to get any of these books until later in the month. What date(s) work for you for starting any of these books.
