Nicoletta shows up at the White House, demanding to see Nick. He refuses to see her and instructs staff to turn her away. Were you surprised he didn’t relent and see her? Was she cagey enough to try and see him when she knew Sam would be able to interfere?

Given their history, I was surprised that he didn't relent and let her in. Sam is at least having a positive effect in this situation.

Yes, I think she came to the White House to avoid Sam but also because she desperately wants to have access to the White House and all it stands for. It was a little surprising but also reassuring that Nick was able to turn her down. I think his relationship with Sam and finding out what real love is like helped him have the strength to turn her away.

I agree with everyone. Nicoletta wants access to the WH and Nick without running into Sam. Nick knows her tricks and he is standing up to her finally. Yay for Sam.

Nick is so insulated that it is going to be difficult for her to get to him. He is finally realizing that she is a lost cause, unfortunately. I'm not a fan of purging family but she doesn't seem like someone who can change.
