Do you have a did not finished or similar shelf? Did you know that you could make it exclusive so that it could be listed under the default book status: Want To Read, Currently Reading and Read? It would be the fourth option.

I am happy that I had found out a couple of days ago that I could have an exclusive Did Not Finished shelf and that it would be listed under the default book statues: Want To Read, Currently Reading, Read. My options are now: Want To Read, Currently Reading, Read and Did Not Finished.

I had checked out an ebook last week that lost my attention, so I have turned it back in early. I still wanted to add it to Goodreads, and write something about it, but I couldn’t have chosen the Read default option, because I didn’t finish the book.

I had a Did Not Finished shelf for years but never put any books under it. A lot of books that I have bought over the years weren’t added to Goodreads and when I couldn’t finished a book that I bought, I would donate it. Library books were returned. A lot of books been under my Currently Reading Status for years. Books that I didn’t finished reading and no longer own.

I had made my Did Not Finished shelf exclusive and added the library ebook and all my currently reading books under the shelf.

To make a shelf exclusive, add the shelf you want to make exclusive if it’s a new shelf and for both new and old shelf, go to all books and click on edit. Find the shelf you want to make exclusive and choose that option.

For your exclusive shelf, you will not be able to choose:: Want To Read, Currently Reading and Read. The book will only be able to be put under one exclusive shelf.

I honestly didn't know about it until about maybe 3 months ago, and then I promptly forgot. LOL!

I am glad for that option.

I’ve had a Did Not Finish shelf for years, and had been meaning to make it an exclusive shelf but just hadn’t gotten around to it. I think it’s a good idea to have that option!
