Hi, I'm trying to change my Goodreads author biography at H.M. Forester.

However, after making the changes and clicking [Save], it displays this message: "Found existing author -- We already have an author named H.M. Forester. You can cancel your edit or merge these authors. One author profile will be kept, while all the books, quotes, and videos of the other will be merged into the kept profile."

It displays two profiles side-by-side with the option to "Keep H.M. Forester" on both, and they both lead to the same page:

(1) ... /author/5818501.title?confirm=true&id2=5818501
(2) ... /author/5818501.title?confirm=true&id2=5818501

Both also read "H.M. Forester is a Goodreads Author, so please take extra care", and I don't want to mess up my entry or your database.

Most recent, perhaps related, change I made was merging two editions of:

It seems like there are a lot of issues surrounding author pages going on right now. It's nothing librarians can help with. Please let support know of the problem.

Authors cannot merge author profiles.

Thanks a lot: support have had a word with the software developers and added my report to a ticket about this known issue. The developers are working on a fix.
