42% of Goodreads Reviews are 5 Stars Book 6 of the Expanse Series and a continuation of the conflicts in Nemesis Games.
Multiple factions are present and maneuvering for power. Earth is crippled from an attack by the Free Navy, an extremist faction of the Outer Planet Alliance. Control of the gates to the thousand worlds is still a focus as the Free Navy's goal is to free the Belters from reliance on and dominance from The Earth Mars Coalition. Of course, Holden and his crew are in the middle of the events again trying to stop a war, change public opinion against the Belters and defeat the Free Navy.
The protomolucule story line is again pushed to the background which is the best story line in the Expanse series. I enjoy the inter-planetary politics and maneuvering but it's much less exciting. I am looking forward to the next book.
