Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 292 comments I can, at the moment, only think of two titles for my next time travel book which is set in an 1832 cottage made of grey flint. The cottage is almost a character in itself. But there is a legend about a Midnight train which is a key player in the tale. So do I call it

Flint Cottage (bland? But it is unique.)
or
Beware the Midnight Train (there are loads of books called The Midnight Train so I have added the 'Beware')

I shall appreciate your thoughts!

I'm asking several groups and I'll appreciate the thoughts of both authors and readers.

Just to clarify, the story is set in both late Victorian times and the 1970s.

Flint Cottage isn't bad. It's pretty descriptive. If you don't go with that, consider something like Temporal Rail, it puts the time-traveling plot on display in the title and you know at that point that it involves a train.

Thank you, Zofia, I think as you do - that 'Flint Cottage' isn't bad but now I'm going off it!
