It’s another day at the office for Washington Metro Police Lieutenant Sam Holland when a body surfaces off the shores of the Anacostia River. Avery & Shelby had a boy, Noah. She left him when he called out Sam's name during sex. She also quit her job with Nick & Sam but has decided to go back. Avery has agreed to counseling.
Christopher Nelson hired Dante through Stanley Ritter to befriend Peter to get damaging info from him about Sam and Nick. They also paid Nicoletta for dirt. Dante tortured Peter when he was unwilling to give them info on Sam. He died from blood loss.
The jogger, Mike Lonergan, who discovered Rose Samuels' body was her killer. When they went to arrest him, they found Ruby Denton with him, tied up.
Will Tyrone resigned. Jeannie got married. Sam’s former relationship with Archie was publicized as it was info they got from Peter.
