QNPoohBear | 9052 comments This is chilling. Librarians being jailed and registered as s-e-x offenders, dismantling the very Constitution that is the foundation of our democracy. And don't think if you don't live in the U.S. this doesn't affect you because these people are not stopping with controlling their own country and spread their evil to every English speaking country. Programs like Project 2025 are already in place in non-democratic countries like China, North Korea, Russia and Turkey.

Sounds chilling indeed, but I am also kind of worried that by donating, by signing petitions against this etc. your name will end up on the book banners' hit list (and that especially book banning politicians like Ron DeSantis et al will probably try to get signees arrested, get their kids taken away etc.).

Yes Project 2025/Trumpism plans to jail political enemies.

Yes that thought crossed my mind but I personally do not use my real name or address when I sign petitions and my e-mail address is not traceable to my real name and easily to delete.

Good, and I do not think that our suspicions are in any way unreasonable or paranoid since Donald Trump and company have both mouthed off about jailing political opponents and have openly admitted to admiring dictators like Joseph Stalin, Francisco Franco, Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin (to name just a few).
