Ellen | 3511 comments Enola Holmes has taken on a missing person's case, that of the Lady Bellefleur Del Campo. The Lady was last seen near the London train tunnels but then seemingly disappeared into thin air. There has been no ransom demand but Enola is sure she can solve the case. This time Enola is accepting of her brother Sherlock's assistance and she even allows eldest brother Mycroft to lend a hand. Sherlock is in possession of a letter written to Enola that he is almost sure has come from their absentee mother who has been living with gypsies for the past year. Braving the train tunnels' darkness, the three siblings, with the help of a friendly dog, search for Lady Bellefleur.

I have truly enjoyed this series and the plucky Enola. For a girl of only 14 she certainly has a lot of intelligence and bravado. Opening the letter from her mother proves to be another mystery, but once she solves it, Enola will be glad that her brothers are once again in her life.

Hannah | 3296 comments I'm glad you liked this series, too! I loved it when I read it earlier this year. It reminded me of the Veronica Speedwell series, with Enola being a younger version of Veronica.

Ellen | 3511 comments Even though this was supposed to be the last book it seems that there are now several more. Yay! I shall continue on.
You're right, Hannah, that it's reminiscent of Veronica Speedwell; sort of a younger version of her.
