Is there any active why-choose groups?
and if there aren't should I make one?

Reverse Harem Revolution is fairly active. There is a monthly newsletter of all upcoming releases too which I have picked up a lot of new authors from!

If you go to your Authors website and find out where they post you can see the groups they are in, like Facebook has a ton of groups I joined that I found by stalking my favorite authors for a half hour.
