Hi, everyone! This is the thread for the "Commit to one book monthly" challenge. In this thread, post one book you intend to read in May, so everyone else can see your pick. When you finish reading it, we'd love for you to come back and post your opinion. I expect everyone's TBRs to suffer because of this monthly reading challenge, but I'm prepared to make that sacrifice. Are you? :-D

I'm choosing Empire of Ants The hidden worlds and extraordinary lives of Earth's tiny conquerors by Susanne Foitzik
Empire of Ants: The hidden worlds and extraordinary lives of Earth's tiny conquerors

I read a book about ant colonies when I was a kid and found it fascinating. I'm curious to see how the knowledge has changed in the last 50 years.

I finished my book today. Not being an over-achiever -- it's free on audible plus but it expires on the 4th so it was now or never!

Empire of Ants The Hidden World and Extraordinary Lives of Earth's Tiny Conquerors by Susanne Foitzik --Fascinating! 4 stars.

Finished. It was a good read, lots of history, which might not appeal to everyone, but it was of interest to me.

Finished The Nativity Story by Angela Elwell Hunt . I gave it 5 stars. There is a movie made from this book. It gives some more detailed information about the story than just what we learned in Sunday School class as a kid. I found it very interesting.

This was enjoyable and I recommended it to another of my book clubs for next month.
