What character or ideas do you relate to the most and why?
Do you have any favorite quotes or scenes?

I'm halfway through this book on audio, just about to finish Chapter 12. The audio narration is great!

The character I relate to most is Starr's mother, because I'm a mother probably. (view spoiler)[She is just trying to do what's best for her children and I completely agree with her that they should leave the area and go live somewhere safer. I know the dad wants to stay and change things, but my first priority would be my kids. Sorry-not-sorry. (hide spoiler)]

My favorite parts of this book are the people dealing with grief. It's very real. As I said in the pre-reading thread, I don't like hot topic preachy books so I don't really like all the social commentary. Also, Starr is dealing with some very serious stuff, but she's still a teenage girl, and teenage girls are obnoxious.
