I read a selection from a horror bingo card, a book about a serial killer. The commonplace is that women prefer to kill by poison. In the book I selected, Mary Ann Cotton: Dark Angel: Britain's First Female Serial Killer, the writer Martin Connolly is not sure that Mary Ann really had killed anyone, that it might have all been a series of unfortunate events. A bit boring it seemed to me, but telling of the prejudices and assumptions of the time, the 19th century.

Not really, I don‘t usually base my reading on a specific season. I am listening to a portal fantasy and I’m eye-reading SF. 😊

The Vampire Lestat
The Secret History of Witches
Gobbolino the Witch's Cat

Actually I am on my third horror book. They were not scary though
