Dylan | 11 comments I’ve seen the movie, it was good. Hopefully it won’t spoil the book- I pretty much like everything he writes.

Catherine Cavendish | 314 comments One of my favourite Adam Nevill stories - and one that really stays with you, haunting you, especially at night. When it's quiet...

Sally | 1 comments This was my first Adam Nevill book and I am definitely impressed. It didn't even need the ghosts and stuff. Fergal and Knacker were scary enough. I foolishly finished the book and then watched the movie. I was dying to see who would play the key roles and I have never been so disappointed. The movie bore only a passing resemblance to the book, and if I had seen it first, I would never have read the book. That would have been my great loss.

Ah so glad you read it first, I usually have a very strict read book 1st then watch movie policy but when the movie disappoints ugh.
