Play Book Tag discussion

I’ve read a number of books recently that have lots of ratings and an average rating of over 4 stars that I’ve not really connected with and have just felt a bit meh about, and this is another one. This is a book of short stories which aren’t really my thing, and the only reason this book ended up on my TBR was because I rescued it from a pile of books my Dad was planning on donating to the local charity bookshop. I liked the author’s writing, and this collection of short stories definitely gave me a better understanding of the experience of Indian emigrants in the US, but I was just not particularly interested in many of the mundane situations the characters were in, and the stories just left me feeling detached too often.
