Welcome to this month's Hidden Gems challenge!

Hidden Gems is a fantastic way to plow through those mountains of books claiming space in your house or e-reader. This challenge produces some fun group interaction as well, because someone else chooses which book you’ll read next.

If you sign up, you'll be matched up with a Hidden Gems partner. You will choose a book from the list your partner designates which you have already read and cannot believe your partner hasn’t read yet. Your partner will do the same for you with the list you designate. The point is to find that “Hidden Gem” that you think they’ll love… because you adored it when you read it!

Let us know which books you choose for each other. When you finish reading your gem, let us know what you thought about it. Perhaps your Hidden Gem might find its way to someone else’s wish list!

Match-ups will be created on the 10th of the month. Please choose books for each other by the 13th.

Sign up by telling us which list you’d like your partner to choose from.

Happy reading, friends!

I have not forgotten about matchups today. I caught up on sleep this afternoon, so I'm running a bit behind schedule just now. Am hoping to do matchups after dinner tonight.

Karen, you've got some good ones on your list! I've chosen these 5 for you this month. The first 3 I've read and enjoyed, the 4th is on my TBR list, and the last is by an author I remember absolutely loving when I was growing up!
Cold Shot, When the Smoke Clears, Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe, An Endless Christmas, White Stallion of Lipizza
Cold Shot (Chesapeake Valor, #1) by Dani Pettrey When the Smoke Clears (Deadly Reunions, #1) by Lynette Eason Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe by Max Lucado An Endless Christmas by Cynthia Ruchti White Stallion of Lipizza by Marguerite Henry
I hope you find a winner in there, and look forward to your choices for me!

message 22: by Karen (new)

Karen | 1310 comments Kate - unfortunately I have not read any of the books on your shelf. Here are my choices for you and why I picked them:

An Endless Christmas by Cynthia Ruchti - one of the books on my TBR shelf and takes place in Minnesota (one of this month's states)
An Appalachian Summer by Ann H. Gabhart - looked very interesting by an author I've been wanting to read (added to my TBR list) and starts with "A" for this month's topic
The Rails to Love Romance Collection by Amanda Cabot - looked good and I love books about the railroad. I'm currently finishing up the Harvey House brides collection

Hope you find a winner for you out of these.

Annette | 352 comments Hi Brittany….Thank you for your choices for me. I plan to read Then Came You (A Bradford Sisters Romance, #0.5) by Becky Wade and hopefully Still the One (Deep Haven Collection, #1) by Rachel D. Russell .

For you I’ve chosen Can't Help Falling (Sweater Weather, #3) by Courtney Walsh and Romancing the Grump (Appies, #4) by Jenny Proctor (I have just this month read the first book of the series from each of these).
Plus
An Unconventional Amish Pair (Seven Amish Sisters #4) by Emma Miller (I enjoy Amish Fiction and love this cover) and Cinnamon and Spice Conundrum by Leah Busboom (Sounds like a fun read).

Though I’ve read none of the books on your shelf, it appears that our tastes are very similar. Hope you enjoy one or more that I’ve chosen for you.

That's so fun that you are reading it, too! I'm reading all of the books in that series, but not in any kind of order since they are stand alones. I just started reading Cinnamon Roll Set Up by Genny Carrick . I'm glad you enjoyed your book choices, as well.
