Okay, I rarely say this, but I HATED THIS BOOK. I didn't even finish it after all of the sexual harassment the main girl had to go through with the boys. I don't care if they get better as the book goes on (I have heard they don't), as a woman, I could not suffer through.

Interesting, because I didn't feel that way at all and I'm usually quite sensitive to that stuff. Mostly it just felt like how kids/siblings would behave around each other. But obviously if you felt that way you shouldn't have continued reading it. Overall I liked it, I couldn't really tell it was a Wattpad book, the writing didn't feel horrendous to me or anything. Maybe a bit juvenile, but nothing too bad.

I chose this book because it was one of the books the group selected and was available at my library. I have never heard of the tv series.
I found this book to be very unrealistic! First, a girl moves in with her guardians she has never met and they have 10 kids and also raise 2 nephews. Most of the boys are teens or pre-teens. There is an early rule to leave the door open and nothing else seemed to be addressed. Apparently, kissing and dating each other are all good. Second, this girl lost her entire family but the book focuses more on her interest and the brothers interest in liking each other. There could have been more depth and emotion added but there wasn’t anything there. Sometimes, it seemed like it should have been written by Alex and Cole’s perspective with their fraught relationship and liking the same girl. The book was a quick read, but there wasn’t anything special that would make it memorable.
