The problem with this series listing thing is that I keep thinking I've abandoned a series, and then when I list it, I think, hmmm...maybe I should give it another go. I think I've decided to give about five series another chance.

Lists can do that to you. I've abandoned a few as I went through them. Not necessarily that I didn't like them, more, I guess, that I want to go ahead with others. There are just so MANY! And I know I'll start some new ones..

The key to remembering what you start is MY BOOKS. I went through most of my READ books and found a ton of series. I recommend and don't recommend it. smh

There are too many new series to start, so I always say that I've abandoned a series and then...I read a review of the book...or I start to miss some aspect of the series...and then I have more series books on the list. I never seem to have less than 70, despite any progress I may or may not make on them.

You read one book and then later on, you discover it is now a series. It's a secret series. I did that some years ago, but haven't done it lately. I do try to browse new releases for my authors to hopefully catch if there's another book in a series, but not everything gets included on those lists. There's always another surprise. And I'm sure if I went through all of MY BOOKS now, the helpful GR librarians would tell me that some are now part of some type of series!
