It was extremely slow in the beginning, and a LOT of back and forth world building, but that ending??? *deep breath*

Flawless by Elsie Silver

I needed a romance break from all the murder and mayhem and have heard good things about this series. Well, Elsie Silver must be magic because as someone whose not really into the sports romance genre, this book made me want to see a rodeo lol

There is definitely some spicy scenes, and Rhett wasn't my overall type, but I LOVED the female character Summer and her story. I will definitely dive into the next installment to continue with this town and these characters more.

Outlander is one of my favorite series - I hope you enjoy them!

This was a decent start to a series but I am awaiting for the second one to get more of the meat and potatoes of this mess.

I often feel the same way when I like the first book in a series - the reader gets the lay of the land in the first one, but then the 2nd and 3rd really tell ya' if you're going to love the series or not.

Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh

This book is worth ALL THE HYPE. Who knew that boys rugby could be so thrilling? Also, the teenage boy banter is so witty, I found myself laughing out loud a lot.

However, check the trigger warnings as there are a lot of instances of domestic violence as a primary plot point.

The Fifth to Die by J.D. Barker



This was a decent middle installment of the crazy cat and mouse game that is chasing down Anson Bishop, the Four Monkey Killer, as he is on the loose and causing mayhem.

I was a bit confused in the middle as there are so many characters but then the ending made my hairs stand up on end and I am definitely looking forward to completing the trilogy and getting the next book!

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros



The final installment of the Empyrean series (aka Fourth Wing ) was a great one, although now having to wait 1-2 years for the next one is maddening haha I listened to this on audiobook. While it made it slightly confusing in the beginning because I couldn't remember who was who , it made the dragon's parts more entertaining (I LOVE Andarna so so much) as well as make the action scenes more perilous.

I love this fun series! I love the relationship with Finlay and her babysitter/ partner in crime Vero, I love her blossoming relationship with Hot Cop Nick,. I even love the relationship she has with her ex husband Steven,. This one was a fun one!
