Otherwise, looks good [except Romance😑].
Definitely different and new.💎"
I'm sorry! 😔 I thought of you while posting these and knew you would be bummed! Unfortunately, so many people skipped out on SF July or said they didn't read sci-fi that I didn't include it again for 2025. I might poll the group and see if people want it back for 2026, though! 🥰

Welcome to GR....Helps you want to read more. For some reason I can only see the themes with my pc and not my phone app.

Welcome to Goodreads and the group! 🥰 I'm sorry the themes aren't showing up for you! You may have to try a PC or the desktop version of the website on your phone like Dianna said. I'll also add a short text list here in case neither of those options work for you!
- Jumpstart January: books already on your TBR
- February Faves: new-to-you books from authors you love
- March Mythos: fantasy books
- Alphabet April: LGBTQIA+ books
- Mental Health May: books featuring MH rep
- June Jubilee: happy books
- Junior July: books 200pg long or shorter
- Artsy August: comics, graphic novels, and manga
- Smut-tember: romance books
- Ominous October: horror, thrillers, mysteries, etc.
- Nonfic November: any nonfiction books
- December Digest: books you meant to read earlier in the year
These are for next year. :) Right now, we're doing "Remember November" for this month, which you can join here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thank you! I have confidence we can find you some nonfic you'll enjoy! 🥰

Thank you so much! 🥰

Avid Reader and Geek Girl wrote: "Oh, August might be hard too, hmm, I almost exclusively read audiobooks"
You can definitely use PNR for the fantasy picks! 🥰 Ooh, good point about audiobooks! I know there are some graphics that have been adapted to audio, especially if you're into Marvel or superhero comics at all. I hope we can find you something to fit the theme! ♥ You could also do an audiobook of a book known for its illustrations, like A Monster Calls!

Alex wrote: "oof, i'm surprised nonfiction was requested the most because that's the one thing i never read :D but very nice themes overall, i like how you kept the alliterations everywhere."
Haha I'm very excited to see how the nonfiction theme goes since it's our first time! I really hope it will help people come out of their boxes a little bit, even if only for one book. 🥰 But of course, it's okay to skip a month too if you just aren't feeling it! And I'm glad you like the alliterations, those are really challenging to come up with sometimes but too much fun to resist 😂

Jumpstart January
Kick off the year with books already on your TBR! If you've never read it and you owned it (or had it on your TBR) prior to January 1, 2025, it counts for this challenge.
February Faves
Read new-to-you books by authors you've previously enjoyed. Whether it's a long-time favorite author or someone you've only read one book by, the only requirement is that you enjoyed a previous work of theirs.
March Mythos
March is all about fantasy books—bonus points for mythology retellings, but any fantasy subgenre works!
Alphabet April
Celebrate the "alphabet mafia" (or the "rainbow alphabet") by reading books by LGBTQIA+ authors or featuring LGBTQIA+ main characters.
Mental Health May
Read books featuring mental health and neurodivergency rep! (Anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, etc.)
June Jubilee
Celebrate the halfway point of the year by reading happy books! (Whatever is "happy" to you is fine)
Junior July
It's time for some short reads: anything less than 200 pages long counts for a "junior" read!
Artsy August
It's time to focus on artsy books: graphic novels, comics, manga, and illustrated novels.
Smut-tember
This one's probably obvious: read some romance books! (It's okay if you only like "closed door" romance—it still counts)
Ominous October
I had to bring back my personal favorite, because this one's all about spooky reads! If you don't like horror, you can read thrillers, mystery books, or dark fantasy.
Nonfic November
This is probably the theme that has been requested the most: a month dedicated to all types of nonfiction!
December Digest
Finally, finish up the year by going back and reading or finishing the books you intended to read earlier in the year!
