A book with two or more books on the cover or "book" in the title.

I like this one because we can make it as easy or as hard as we want!!!

Denise | 374 comments The Book That Wouldn’t Burn is on my TBR list, so I'll read that.

Also if anyone hasn't yet read The Book Thief I recommend that.

Megan (oreodont) | 56 comments For nonfiction, can't go wrong with The Book: A Cover-to-Cover Exploration of the Most Powerful Object of Our Time. I also really liked The Great Big Book of Horrible Things: The Definitive Chronicle of History's 100 Worst Atrocities (also nonfiction) but I recommend reading it in small doses or paired with a cozy fantasy or something. Hey, maybe The Book of Three or Bookshops & Bonedust!

Megan (oreodont) | 56 comments For books on the cover, Ink and Bone works, though only the spines are visible. Interesting fantasy/alternate reality series. I've read 3 of 5 and liked the first best, which this is.

Ink and Bone also works for two books with the same title! Ink and Bone & Ink and Bone

Kaia | 235 comments Cozy mystery fans might like The Secret, Book & Scone Society by Ellery Adams. I think every title in the series has books on the cover and their all a good read.

Amy (amymarkscouk) | 40 comments I've been wanting to read The Book of Love!

message 15: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer T. (jent998) | 231 comments I’m about halfway thru this one and I’ll wait to finish it until 1/1/25. It’s a mystery and so far I like it, it’s got good characters and I am not sure whodunnit so far.

Ron | 2708 comments A book I'm looking forward to that is being released in February is: Bibliotherapy: The Healing Power of Reading

Tons of books on the cover and the title alone is intriguing, especially as a general reader.

I could recommend The Library Book for NF readers.

Elizabeth (elizabethlk) | 8 comments I'm not dead set on it being the one, but I have an ARC of Banned Together: Our Fight for Readers' Rights, which features a stack of books on the cover, so I'm definitely leaning towards this one since I won't get to it before the year is out.

I have this book on my 2025 list so I might get to it at some point.

Lhoss | 8 comments I'm going for The Book of Salt by Monique Truong, which would be also a good fit for prompt #15 (immigrants and refugees), since its main character is a Vietnamese cook working in Paris in the 30s.

The Book of Salt by Monique Truong

Darci Day | 164 comments I have tons of options for this one, but I like to throw in a couple of middle grade books onto the list, for when I need something light. So I'm going to go with Tilly and the Bookwanderers.

Sonja Fosgate (mrsfosgate) | 5 comments Nobody has mentioned The Graveyard Book yet!

There's a novel and a graphic novel, and they're middle grade books. Fun little read I did for 2024: 27. A book where someone dies in the first chapter.

Diane (runnerdm) | 6 comments The Wishing Game. Meg Shaffer. Has a whole bookshelf on the cover.

Ron | 2708 comments Totally bummed out.

Bibliotherapy The Healing Power of Reading by Bijal Shah

Bibliotherapy: The Healing Power of Reading got pushed back to a March release date instead of a February one. I was so looking forward to this book to read in Feb. too.

(though why she would release it when the new Hunger Games book is being released is kind of strange.)

message 34: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 782 comments I read More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop (Days at the Morisaki Bookshop, #2) by Satoshi Yagisawa

message 35: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments Well I was going to go with this book:

Bibliotherapy The Healing Power of Reading by Bijal Shah
Bibliotherapy: The Healing Power of Reading

But the release date keeps getting pushed back. Now it won't come out until the end of April. I won't see a point in reading it until June since I'll be reading another book on this same topic but a month earlier.

*****

That said, this book is supposed to be released at the end of April as well and I have it set for the start of my May reads (provided the release date doesn't change.)

Ron | 2708 comments It's finally April 30th which means Bibliotherapy in the Bronx is out!

My copy arrived yesterday on release day so I've already finished the introduction. I get the feeling that I'm going to love this one already so I am so stoked for it.

message 40: by Lilith (new)

Lilith (lilithp) | 1073 comments I read The Little Book of Forest Bathing: Discovering the Japanese Art of Self-Care, mostly because I really needed some uplift and healing while I was caring for a loved one in palliative care. It did help, and I've gone on to read Shinrin-Yoku: The Art and Science of Forest Bathing and Shinrin Yoku: The Art of Japanese Forest Bathing.

The book will propel you into visiting a forest or woodland.

I really like the idea of this, but as someone who has experienced forests, my first thought is about the bugs. Flying bugs, flying into my face. But I might give it a try since I tried to read The Book That Wouldn’t Burn and knew almost immediately that it wasn't for me and now I need a new book for this prompt.

Michele Olson | 116 comments The Accidental Book Club by Jennifer Scott. This could also be used for the found family and last line prompts.
