Kelly | 4 comments Could you guys recommend some 5-star Sci-Fi Romances?
I've read a bunch in the genre but would love some recommendations on books that were your absolute favorites.

Kate | 7 comments Looks like we have read a LOT of the same books. My absolute favorites are already on your read list, lol. 🥰 But, here are a few others that are pretty good too - Veronica Scott - Sectors New Allies, series. Tiffany Roberts - Dustwalker. Susan Grant, a couple of good series. Ariel McArran - The Telleran series. Willow Danes - Warriors of Hir series. Good luck and I hope you find something you like. PS, I am just coming to the end of Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher and I quite liked it. Different, but good.📚😊

Jennifer (quaisior) | 5 comments I also have read a lot of the same books as you and have many more on my TBR that you loved. I've read all of Jessie Mihalik's books this year and I absolutely loved the Starlight's Shadow Trilogy- I liked everything else by her, but something about the aliens in that trilogy grabbed me. Sharon Shinn's Samaria Series is great and there's a romance or two in every book. Her stand alone books Heart of Gold and Wrapt in Crystal are also good and her newest book is SF, but I haven't read it yet. Ann Aguirre's Sirantha Jax Series is a lot of fun and has an angsty romance. Sara Creasy's Scarabaeus Duology is good, but I wish there were more books. Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's Laiden Series has a ton of books with varying degrees of romance. The earlier books in the series are my favorites. Jolie Mason's Home in the Stars Series is good, but the end was a bit dissatisfying because it was an intro to a related series (which I haven't read yet). I also love Catherine Asaro, Tanya Huff, Julie E. Czerneda, Kristine Smith, Joan D. Vinge, Lois McMaster Bujold, Vonda N. McIntyre, Karen Traviss, Patricia A. McKillip, and Debra Doyle and James D. Macdonald, but they are all more SF with a romantic subplot than SF romance.

Amyiw | 48 comments So my favorites that you read are Paradox, Grimspace, Aldebarian Alliance, Class 5, Clecanian, Wraith Kings, etc... and it looks like you like some of the more sexy time too, though we don't have much overlapping there. It is hard to recommend as I am not sure if you want an over arc like Grimspace and Paradox, a romance each book Aldebarian Alliance, Class 5, or more a fluff and maybe sexy times like Clecanians and Ice Planet Barbarians. Which you seem to enjoy all of them so... So maybe all subgenres?

From serious to fluff
Old school
-Anne McCaffrey Pern series, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonflight #1, which is maybe more fantasy for you
Jayne Castle (Amanda Quick/Jayne Anne Krentz), St. Helen's, Amaryllis
SFR, more serious or overarching romance
Ilona Andrews, InnKeeper Chronicles, Clean Sweep
Linnea Sinclair, Doc 5 Universse, Gabriel's Ghost or An Accidental Goddess
Eric Flint, 1632, I really liked the romances he did here but stop at the first book.
Sherrilyn Kenyon, The League, Born of Night
Alexis Morgan Paladins of Darkness, Dark Protector Contemporary SFR
Elin Peer, N-men, The Protector, the first one pissed me off greatly but got better the next one and the prequel which should be read after you start.
fluff-or sexy times
Amanda Milo, Contagion or Stolen by an Alien
Laurann Dohner, Cyborg Seduction, skip the first.. really.. 2nd Kissing Steel
Laurann Dohner, New Species, this is more PNR but has a science made species, Fury
Jory Strong, Fallon Mates, menage Binding Krista

Jennifer (quaisior) | 5 comments I've read a few more SF romance/romantic SF books lately that I have added to my favorites list:
Rules of Redemption- T. A. White (I can't wait to read the rest of the series!)
Overload Flux- Carol Van Natta (and I can't wait to read more of this series too, especially the sequel novella to this, Zero Flux)
I'm almost done with Lindsay Buroker's Fallen Empire series and it just kept getting better and better. I plan to read the sequel trilogy this year too.
I'm reading Calamity by Constance Fay now and so far, it's good and it's also hilarious. I plan to read all three books in this series this year too (the third book comes out in March).

Amyiw | 48 comments I put Overload Flux, wish the audiobook was less than $25, and Calamity, my Hoopla has the audio and Overdrive has the ebook, yea. I need to get back to Rules as I read the first 3 and stopped but I see that there are more now.

Jennifer (quaisior) | 5 comments I hope you enjoy them. I'm reading the 4th Firebird Chronicles book now and I saw that she's writing book six this year (T. A. White gave birth to twins last year, so she's been a little behind schedule).

I absolutely adored all of the Constance Fay books and I think she's writing more in that series. My favorite was Fiasco (book 2).

One other romantic SF book I read recently that I thought I'd mention is Dancer of the Sixth by Michelle Shirey Crean. It was the author's only book and I really wish she had written more because this seemed like a nice set up for a series, plus I loved the romance in it. I'm not sure how hard to find it is since it's from 1993. I think I found my copy on a book swap site.

I got the new Sharon Shinn book for my birthday, so I want to read that this month. It's called Alibi and it's her first science fiction book in about 20 years. I'm also hoping to start Michelle Diener's Class 5 series this month.
