Erica | 944 comments ooh glad this won :) My mum read earlier in the year and loved it so I'm going to borrow her copy and join in. Love everything I've read by Ann Patchett so far, she's a great writer.

Glad to hear that Erica!

I'll be joining too mid-month. I've certainly heard of Pratchett, but this will be the first of her books that I've read. Looking forward to it!

Nidhi Kumari | 432 comments We have read The Dutch House and These Precious Days by Patchett quite recently, though I couldn't finish either because of diversions.
For Tom Lake I am reading Our Town by Thornton, which has some role in the background of the plot ( I gathered this from another group which was reading this book). As I am away from home and will be back on 9 , I am planning to begin by 10.

Thanks Nidhi, I have been away from Goodreads for a while because of work problems and must have missed the other reads.

Thanks for the tip on Our Town!

Nidhi Kumari | 432 comments I am on chapter three. I was having problems with narrative, so I read the description of book which GR provides, and now it's clear to me.

Glad to hear that the description helped Nidhi!

Erica | 944 comments I'm 20 pages in and already loving it :) Ann Patchett writes so clearly, easy to imagine you're there.

Erica | 944 comments This would be a great book for a holiday read. Finding it immensely readable and just want to keep reading.

So glad Erica - looking forward to when I start tomorrow!

Erica | 944 comments I'm about halfway through now. I wonder if my mum liked this one because of the thread of a mother telling her story to her three daughters...I have two sisters :)
