Would you recommend this book? Yes.

I have avoided this book for several years; but, when I sat down to read it this year, I was delighted with it. The characters, although many are magical, felt real. And, although this is a mystery (my favorite genre), it is about self-confidence and a sister relationship. 4* BTW, the unusual education is a school for magical people.

Would you recommend this book? Yes!! I'm late to the party, because I'm always rarely drawn to newly released books. This one certainly shattered my heart, and it isn't reassembled. However, I think it is meant to be rearranged in a new way.
The unusual education is at a place called an "academy", but of course, it is a juvenile detention center, with such a paltry offering to the MC. I was so invested in Elwood that I brought it to meetings, protests and everything in between.
