Author: Grady Hendrix
Would you recommend this book? I would, but only to someone who likes horror. Grady Hendrix's books feature strong female protagonists (who are not stock characters like some horror writers) and a sense of humour. This book is a wild trip - an both senses of the word. (It would also work for a road trip book.)

Author: Miel Moreland
Would you recommend this book? This was a YA story about a queer band who broke up and reunites for a charity concert for their hometown.

Overall, I thought it was fun, but it was lacking in some details I would have enjoyed reading more about, like the music industry. I also feel like it could've used about 50 more pages and more room for the characters to breathe.

Author: Sarah Smarsh
Would you recommend this book? Yes, if you like Dolly Parton and would enjoy a feminist perspective on the lives lived by American poor rural women. It never occurred to me that the language of lyrics could be a way for women to speak and empower each other.
