Finished Cut and Thirst - a short story that I got through First Reads. The writing was fine but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. At least it was free.

I just read a short story a friend cut out of a magazine for me. It feels very surreal, as I cannot find any record of it on the internet. It is Words and Silence by Yoko Ogawa, apparently written on behalf of Hermes? It was a surreal read in addition to its surreal origins. A writer who writes with baking letter cookies.

Probably Brave New World. But it’s close. The visionary nature of the book was pretty good at 90+ years. Postman is a gritty book and sort of sad.
