Awesome, Bill. You are getting back to old Rebus, eh??

I have most of these series on my tbr; as you can tell by my series list. I am only no the first book for some, but I am excited to see you still enjoying these. That keeps me hopeful!

Good luck on this list Bill!!

I have lots of series that I'll be just starting as I'm trying to finish a bunch. I'm glad to get back to these series. It's been awhile for some.

Yeah, I have a bunch that I haven't read since before the pandemonium. 🤣

Lea (leaspot) | 3629 comments What a great list and best of luck!

I finally got through all the 2010s on my TBR, and I'm hoping to make some progress in 2011, but we'll see. I already know I cannot do them all.

I own some of the Gregor Demarkian books, but that's a series I haven't started yet. Some day.

I'm also trying to make some progress on Christie novels, but that also might have to wait.

In the meantime, I will be eager to see what you think of your longest lasting TBR books. Best wishes!

This might become an annual challenge for me. I'd like to ensure that the books haven't been on my shelves for more than 10 years... Mind you, I am vetting some others and just removing them and putting them in my Little Free Library. There is only so much time for reading, eh? Btw, I think I'll still be reading Christie in another 10 years.. LOL

I'll blame that too.. not my book buying practices..😎

Thank you, Dee. Good luck with your challenges too.

Thanks, Lindsey. I was kind of forced into it because I fear those books were going to go out on strike if I didn't read them soon

I have the same idea of trying to read books within 10 years. I have no excuse, as I only log books on GR that are gifts. All the books I buy/find for myself are in another spreadsheet somewhere and on my shelves. I'm ashamed to say that I still have 36 books that are over 10 years old this coming year. Someone spent time thinking about what I would like and bought me the book, hoping to hear what I think about it...and I haven't even gotten these read. (*hangs head in shame*)

I think I'll be reading Christie for the next 10 years also. She might be my focus after I finish the GRC Awards...unless I decide to finish my book gifts...or my series...or my around-the-world challenge...who are we kidding, there are plenty of distractions around here?!?

So many distractions and so many shiny new books to buy...

Ioana | 2122 comments I haven't read any of these, but I am guilty too...I still have 36 books on my TBR added in 2010. I will try to read some of them next year, but I know I will not finish them all. Too many books, too little time.
I've read tons of Georges Simenon and Agatha Christie many, many years ago, and I'm sorry I never kept a list.
Enjoy your selection and happy reading!

Linette | 172 comments Oh, the pressure. Do I need to look at my TBR oldest books from 2010 too? The idea makes me sweat a bit, lol.
Great idea! I loved Rebus, been a while since I've spent time with him and his gang. Can't go wrong with Ngaio Marsh and Agatha Christie. I've been on a Kathy Reichs journey for a couple of years, enjoying that series a lot.
Good luck clearing your backlog, hope you love them as they've waiting so long for you to get to them.

LOL. The problem is that there is always a new shiny exciting looking book and some just get pushed back into the back of the book shelf.

I thought I might be done with Rebus with those two books but it seems he's back with Malcolm Ross in the Complaints so I'll probably continue following him.. LOL
