2025 Team Reading Challenge Sign up!
As always, a friendly reminder:
This competition is just for fun! It's a way to track books and motivate us to read. There's no pressure to read as many books or get as many points as the year before. Providing points from prior years just gives me an idea of how to sort the teams. :)

As for my expectations in 2025:
This is the third year I have completed over 100 books/stories, and I hope to continue doing so.
However, I do not expect to participate in many buddy reads. My main goal is to complete previously started series, particularly those on my physical bookshelf.

870.4 Points, always searching for that elusive 1,000 number. Some day, maybe when I retire, LOL.
Shogun
Lonesome Dove
Disquiet Gods - Ruocchio
Dungeon Crawler Carl series
Kushiel Trilogy

Being I have read so much Fantasy and Sci-fi over the years, many BR's I have already covered. I see we are going to read the Warhammer series, always have had an interest in those, lokking forward to them.

Hahahahaha! Exactly!!!
But yes, end of year work stuff and life stuff and I have not read anything these days at all...
However, I plan to read about 150-200 books this year, definitely not as many as last year.
I adore all sci-fi and sci-fantasy we have been reading and I love this community!!! Thank you for giving me a chance to participate!!!
Added Angela Jr. and Choko back to the spreadsheet... top section will be broken until you end up on teams, but you can track your books ahead of time, at least... you're the last 2 tabs for now...

Thanks :)

For the challenge last year, I read 47 books and got 222 points. I'll probably be at the same level. I'm not sure how many buddy reads I'm going to do, as my multiple shelves downstairs of "TBR" are too overflowing, and part of my birthday gift earlier this month is a "free little library" to put in my front yard, so a hint has been taken! So, I may have to concentrate on that instead (as well as concentrate on new books (Abercrombie!) . I'm here for everything Castell later this month, as well as continuing with the Tad Williams series.
I'm still doing my stubborn slow reread of Stormlight and am about 65% Oathbringer with the rest of that to go, so I'll probably be slow to add points while I'm in "tome" mode.
2023 272 points
2022 196
2021 262
2020 260
2019 321 - Love to get back to this level.
Favorite read of 2024: First time reads - tyranny of faith and Trials of empire, Empire of the Damned, Malevolent Seven, Tyrant's Throne, Monk and Robot.
Jenna will add to teams at some point... I'm mostly adding tabs to spreadsheet so you can track while you wait... also because the rules say you can add books from the day you sign up, and so far, everyone signed up by day 1...
Yay! Glad to have a few more signups. :)
I'll wait a couple more days to see if there are any others who want to join at the last minute, but if there's no one else within the next week, I'll add everyone then.

I finally remembered to import your sheet into 2025 with Choko & Angela Jr.
For some reason, some of your top row stuff was hard coded... switched it to the INDIRECT formulas all the other sheets use, so it'll dynamically grab the right data...
Didn't touch your filters that seem to be highlighting the first 57 rows for some reason...

Hell... I can probably tell ya you're going to end up on Lawless Rogues, the team with no captain (since the symbolic captains haven't participated in a few years now and we just removed them this year)...
I just can't edit the team thread comments, since Jenna made all the threads...
But I can add you to the rest of the spreadsheet stuff tomorrow...

Hey Mel, welcome back! I will indeed add you to the Lawless Rogues. As Iain mentioned in the other thread, you can count points from anything you've read since the date you signed up. :)
All sorted up on the spreadsheet... we can be 100% sure, once you read some books and I/we see the data pass between tabs...

Next year, for sure.
