I read a biography of Mary Shelley and her mother a few years ago, which is why I picked this up. I thought the writing was too simplistic, but I really admire these two young women, so I pushed through. (I kept falling asleep, and at the time I blamed the book. Though maybe it was unfair. I didn’t know yet that I had Covid.)

I hope you feel better soon, Nancy! I've only had Covid once, and luckily I only had a sore throat, but I know it can really impact some people for a couple of weeks after.
I understand what you mean about the writing being simplistic, but I think for what it was aiming to do for its target audience, it was a really good book.

Thanks. I also agree that girls need more books about women in stem. It might have made a difference for me when I young.
