Play Book Tag discussion

Charlie N. Holmberg is one of my go-to authors. Her novels are exactly like my favourite cup of tea! So comforting though I don't mean that her character do not suffer any bad things but rather I know that whatever she does, in the end, I will be very content and happy.

I thought this title and cover is very enchanting and suits the whimsical nature of the premise. There were 3 perspectives though divided into 2 alternate chapters (ie. 1 perspective has his own chapter and 2 others share a longer chapter - this sounds strange but this structure makes sense and worked brilliantly). One of this is very dark while the other very cute and whimsical until the one violate the other.

The idea of enchanted house is very interesting though I probably won't go near one in real life. IRL, it terrifies me but I love it in novels! And having an organisation to preserve these houses is rather amusing. The magic system in this world is also fascinating especially since you can trace is genetically with codes and such; brilliant! The ending brought out a lovely sigh and a big smile on my face. I've already checked out book 2 ;)
