Peggyzbooksnmusic | 597 comments Hope someone can recommend a book with WRENCH on cover. Have search online & all I could find was a YA contemporary mystery In the Study with the Wrench (Clue Mystery, #2) by Diana Peterfreund In the Study with the Wrench which unforunately is not historical. Thanks!

Sandy | 1629 comments From my reading of our last time we did Clue: O Cadáver que Não se Calou by Rex Stout , a Nero Wolfe in Portuguese. I read it in English.

Sandy | 1629 comments While looking for a book with a kitchen on the cover I noticed that many of the Mrs. Jeffries series have useful covers: kitchen, glass conservatory, dining room table ...

There are over 30 books in the series so have fun searching.

Lindsey (ucdlindsey) | 27 comments Recommendation for Category 3 (Weapons), Task 3 (Knife) - This book has a sword on the cover, I thought it was really well done and it's set in England in 1657 so a different/earlier era than most: The Seeker by S.G. MacLean
The Seeker (Damian Seeker, #1) by S.G. MacLean

message 10: by J.Roberts (new)

J.Roberts | 49 comments Hello there, I have two recommendations:
-For a Healer Detective: The List of Seven by Mark Frost is a Conspiracy Mystery that has a pre-Sherlock Holmes Arthur Conan Doyle as its main character.
-For the Metal Title: The Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis.

QNPoohBear | 761 comments Which one should I listen to next for double letter? I'm mooching off a friend's Hoopla and I don't want to use all her borrows. I want to make the best choice for a book to listen to while I work. I've listened to Cleopatra Fox books and the narrator is nice. I haven't listened to either of the others before.

Murder on the Brighton Express (the library may get an e-book in Libby in addition to Hoopla's audio book).

Murder Among the Pyramids by Sara Rosett

or The Matter of the Secret Bride (Hoping the library gets that one in hardcover soon).

Havent read/listened to those 3 titles. But the audio narrator for Murder Among the Pyramids is Elizabeth Klett. I really liked her narration of Lady Odelia's Secret.

Thank you. I ended up choosing Cleo because I didn't have a lot of time this week to get into a whole new story. Since I know Cleo and Harry and friends, I didn't have to worry about listening carefully to the explanations of backstory.

The first book in the series Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor (Jane Austen Mysteries, #1) by Stephanie Barron also works. You could also try The Apothecary Rose The Apothecary Rose (Owen Archer, #1) by Candace Robb

Since I had read all these books I actually ended up reading The Prince's Man The Prince's Man (Gareth and Gwen Medieval Mysteries #13) by Sarah Woodbury for this category
