Harry Potter discussion

I just tried to read the cursed child script/book and I could not get through it. Had to DNF it like 20% through. I just felt like they butchered so many good characters so quickly like the trolley witch and even Harry. I feel like he would never in his life say the things he said to and about Albus. Is the actual play better or is it about the same. And did I just give up too soon on the book? I’ve never had a DNF before but just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. It just felt like fanfiction.

Can I pick neither... like I wish its existence would just *poof*

I didn't love the book. it was....ok. The play was really cool to see. I like the play more than the book.
