Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments Here is a copy of Set one. Does anyone have any books that work for this list? I am looking at my to read books now to see what is a good start.

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments I have books ready that can fill 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14. Let me know what would be good so we each can work on something different.

message 9: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments Quick question - do we want to use a spreadsheet tracker?

message 10: by Insiyah (last edited Jan 02, 2025 10:41PM) (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments I have 1, 6, 13 and 15 right now.

4, 7 and 8 are all that's left :D

message 11: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments I think a spreadsheet would help keep track.

I just want to say I have all those books, but may, possibly, will not get through them all in 1 month. I am just posting the options I have so we can avoid doubling up.

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments If 4 can be non-fiction and the author has multiple children (and mentions them) I can cover that one!

I also can take 7 depending on when we want this complete by.

And yes I think a spreadsheet would be great. Those are not my strongpoint as far as making but I'm happy to use it and enter data.

I messaged Emily to see if she's still in and sent her the thread link.

MelanieJoy, I asked your question in the ask the professor thread to see if the author can have multiple children. Hopefully they will answer soon.

Emily | 305 comments I can find something for 4 7 or 8 although have several some of the others already picked if need be

message 15: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments I'll do the spreadsheet and upload it soon. In the meantime, let's try to get all these books done with in Jan? Since we can't move to the next set until we're done with this one

Spreadsheet's here! Let me know if anyone wants to add any other details or columns

message 17: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments So I finished 4 if nonfiction counts. If not, I read an MPG nonfiction.
I’m reading kingdom of Ash now so that can count for something, I’ll look at the list.

message 18: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments I think it counts for 4 - there's no rule that the book has to be fiction

message 19: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments The group answered that if the author is the main character, then yes, it counts.

message 20: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Awesome thanks! I’ll add to spreadsheet.

message 21: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Jonnie, I have a T Kingfisher book up next, so if the author initial book you had picked is lower priority for you I can cover. No worries if you’re already done though!

message 22: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments MelanieJoy, I just started the book with a Christmas cover, so if you want to do the initials, that's great. Thank you.

Will see what I can find

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments Instead of claiming the tasks beforehand, let's fill them in as we're reading books that fit them? We're only 4 of us, so it should be relatively easy to get the tasks done without fuss.

message 27: by Emily (new)

Emily | 305 comments Sounds good to me

message 28: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Yeah that sounds good

message 30: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments I finished an MPG family book! You guys can let me know if you want me to enter it so we can get done faster or not. I'm cool with just waiting till the next set.

message 31: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments I just finished my book tagged Germany. I will be updating the spreadsheet later. It just doesn't work well on my phone.

message 32: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments Done with MPG Family. We have 2 tasks left to complete now. I'll get MPF Non-Fiction done tomorrow.

message 33: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments great work!

message 34: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments I finished the book with a character who smokes also. I will have to update the spreadsheet at home. my work computer says I am not allowed to access the google doc.

message 35: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments That means we're done with the first set and can begin with the second!

message 36: by Emily (new)

Emily | 305 comments Are we still going to pick one to read then fill in as they are finished?

message 37: by Jonnie (new)

Jonnie Deitz | 181 comments Emily wrote: "Are we still going to pick one to read then fill in as they are finished?"

message 39: by Emily (new)

Emily | 305 comments On the SAGA list is anyone else having problems viewing it or is it just me?

message 40: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments I haven't looked honestly.

I'm hoping to get my classic book done by Feb 1. If I start to slow down my reading I'll let you guys know and some can switch my book out for a completed one.

message 44: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments I read a slow burn romance but then I finished it, haha! So I'll look for something else.

message 45: by Insiyah (new)

Insiyah (insiyahxo) | 503 comments If it has an R character, please use it for that one! I'm in a reading slump at the worst possible time because UNO....

message 46: by MelanieJoy (last edited Feb 05, 2025 06:44AM) (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Awww Insiyah I'm so sorry! Nope no R character but I'm trying to start Reckless Girls so I can use that for R but I'm giving myself till the 11th to finish it so hopefully that's okay timewise.

message 47: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Emily you read super fast so if you do happen to get to an R book or have recently read one, feel free to plug it in! No worries.

We're not in any rush for this challenge since we can do it over the whole year, so it shouldn't be an issue

message 49: by Emily (new)

Emily | 305 comments I have an R done
