The story is fast-paced, involving a large cast of characters and numerous events. While it was engaging, it did make reading a bit challenging. The author frequently shifts between scenes and characters, making it hard to keep track of everything. Early on, more than ten characters are introduced within just a few pages. Most events take place within the same two buildings, but the constant shifts—from one person’s kitchen to another’s room, and then to a completely different apartment—felt disorienting. In the end, I decided to focus on the dialogues rather than the settings, which helped. So, while it was a bit overwhelming, it didn’t take away too much from my enjoyment.
The story as a whole is clever, and I appreciated that the author wove in a few additional themes alongside the central mystery.
