It says hero or heroine has children. Do they have to be heroes or just the main character?

Just one of the main couples in the story. In Romance, it’s usually either the woman or guy who’s “getting together “ & one of them has a child.

Me again. I'm not a cover person. To be honest, I rarely notice them. It was different when I camped out at Barnes & Noble and Borders. Covers pulled me in. Now I look for authors or recommendations.

That said, how do I search for a book with a terrible cover? I look at every email I receive about books, and I can't find one I hate. However, I do see some that are lazy. For example, most romance books must have a bare chested man on the cover.

I'd say go with one with a "bare chested man" if that annoys you. Or a cover you consider just plain lazy. Another thing to look at that fits: A cover that doesn't match the content in your opinion. Like why in the world did they pick this cover & what does it have to do with what I just read??? You get the drift...it's totally your interpretation.

I hate it when the cover doesn’t represent the content, especially the description of the characters. That’s what I’m looking for.

That said, I remember when ebooks first emerged and lots of authors began self publishing. Some of the covers were just awful. That’s rare these days but back then, some were painful.

Thanx for this. I was also struggling with cover. I top don't bother looking at covers anymore as most of my genres only have male on the cover.( I'm fact I started seeing the same models being used over and over and started a list in my indivual series tracker) Or what what I've recently noticed is.... Not models but drawing/cartoon. Sorry I don't know the correct term for when it's not real any mthing but a drawing of either people or places.

I'm done. I'm not a cover person at all. I don't pay attention unless the cover is unique. I do think they could have been more creative with the cover I decided on.
