Richelle | 28 comments Looking for Pen Pals, Book Swappers, and Creative Kindred Spirits

Hi all!

As we head into the new year, I’m looking to start something new and meaningful—connecting with fellow book lovers, writers, and creatives across the world. I’m in my late 30s, so if you enjoy thoughtful exchanges and a slower, intentional approach to life, we might click!

Here’s what I’m hoping to find:
📬 Pen Pals: Handwritten letters, postcards, and a love for storytelling. I’d love to hear about your corner of the world.
📚 Book Swappers: If you enjoy exchanging books (or even just discussing them), I’d love to trade and annotate copies with you. I especially love thrillers, suspense, and romance, so let’s swap recommendations or well-loved paperbacks!
📒 Junk Journalers & Stationery Enthusiasts: Whether you love crafting with vintage papers, washi tape, or ephemera, I’d love to swap supplies and inspiration.
🎨 Sticker Swappers: For those who can never have too many stickers in their collection—let’s trade!

If this sounds like your vibe, leave a reply or send me a message! Here’s to making creative connections and sharing a little joy in 2025.

Richelle

Bookworm_0413 (todayiamaunicorn) | 10 comments Hello!

Your idea is amazing!! I got so excited reading your post. I miss getting actual mail. I'm not even sure when was the last time I received a hand written letter or post card.

I generally read on my kindle just for ease, but I would love to swap actual books and share thoughts and reviews on them. I am big into thriller, suspense, sci fi and some horror and romance.

A book trading pen pal who likes stickers sound like a dream come true. I have been trying to decide how to go about meeting new book friends. I logged on today to get ready for the 2025 Popsugar challenge and boom, I saw your post.

I hope to hear back from you!
Shanna

Susan | 3 comments I love this idea! Have you ever been on bookcrossing.com ? It's great sight dedicated to tracking books you've "released". I love received books in the mail :) and I love the idea of a junk journal. I tried getting one together but need more inspiration!

Hello Richelle and Fellow Book Worms :)

Your post absolutely made my night.....SERIOUSLY!! I'm absolutely in & look to making new book friends!!

I think being book penpals is an awesome idea as well as book trading!! Who doesn't love to get books in the mail!! Trading book/reading stickers would be great!!
However, I am at a loss about Junk Journaling....not sure what that is?? I do love stationary but I am so not a crafty person....so I am afraid all of my stationary supplies are bought at the store, Amazon or Etsy.
I am willing to try new things!!

I look forward to being a part of this great idea!!

Marianne | 5 comments I love, love, love this idea! Yet, living full-time on a boat outta the US I see a lot of challenges with this one - namely book and sticker swapping.

Waaaa.....BUT I so wanna.
