Michelle | 622 comments Would anyone like to read one of these as a Buddy Read? While the City Sleeps (The Women of Midtown, #1) by Elizabeth Camden An Elegant Façade (Hawthorne House, #2) by Kristi Ann Hunter Masquerade at Middlecrest Abbey by Abigail Wilson

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments Michelle, I'll try to join you on While the City Sleeps and Masquerade at Middlecrest Abbey. I placed a Libby hold on the first one, so I should have it fairly soon. Requested the other from the library, so it might take a little longer.

Michelle and Carole, let me know when you've decided a timeline for those reads, and I'll get them set up for you! 🙂

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments While the City Sleeps just came through on Libby, so whatever works best for you is fine, Michelle. I'll have it for 2 weeks unless it can be renewed. Or... I haven't downloaded it yet, so I can delay it as long as needed. Thanks, Kate.

Michelle | 622 comments Carole - On While the City Sleeps, would you like to start on the 1st or the 5th? For Masquerade at Middlecrest Abbey, whatever day works for you is fine with me.

Carole Jarvis | 145 comments Michelle - I put a hold on While the City Sleeps until Dec 30, so let's start on the 5th if that's okay. It's been a while since I've read a Camden book, but I always enjoy her writing. Looking forward to reading with you. And I'll let you know when the other book arrives at the library. With the holidays, I don't know how long to expect.

I'd also like to read An Elegant Facade, but need to read the previous book in that series first. Maybe we could read this one later if you don't get to it first.

I will go ahead and set up While the City Sleeps While the City Sleeps (The Women of Midtown, #1) by Elizabeth Camden for y'all starting on 5 January!

Michelle | 622 comments Thank you Kate!

Carole - That's fine for An Elegant Façade. We can read this toward the end of the month or in February if that works best for you. Just let me know.

Pegg | 51 comments Verity's Rescue by Rita Gerlach Anyone want to join me in reading Verity's Rescue in January? It's set in 1693 Colonial America and touched on the Salem Witch trials.

"Verity’s Rescue is a timeless tale of courage. Within its pages, the steadfast faith of its characters threatened with persecution, reminds us that even in the darkest of times the giver of our faith and the resilience of love never forsakes us."

After almost an ENTIRE year of reading non-fiction, I need to whet my fiction chops again. :)

Mary, if this is the book you've mentioned over on the 'What I'm Reading in January' thread, is that Christian fiction? We choose to keep our official and buddy reads only for Christian fiction reads. 🙂
