Alex sat at her desk, her brow furrowed in concentration as she fumbled with the intricacies of the new camera she had received. The cool metal felt foreign in her hands, a stark contrast to the comfort of her old, familiar device. She sighed softly, glancing up at the teacher standing at the front of the classroom, animatedly explaining a concept. With a deliberate adjustment of the focus and a gentle click of the shutter, she captured a candid shot, hoping to freeze that moment of engagement and enthusiasm for her photo project. The bright classroom lights reflected off the lens, framing the teacher in a warm glow as Alex felt a mix of frustration and excitement about her budding photography skills.
Alex got up, limping towards Jay. Her leg was sprained, and she struggled to walk, but she could still walk. ``Oi- wake up`` She said, shaking her.
``You gotta get the hell up`` She said, shaking her again. ``The teacher is forcing me to wake you the hell up- I don't want to do this`` She said, clearly annoyed.
``Good`` She said, limping back to her seat. ``God Im going to hate having to get up....god damn- that hurt like hell`` She mumbled to herself.
She just looked at her camera, mumbling to herself. ``god....i wish I could trust people...`` She mumbled softly. ``My dad sucks....``
``My leg is fine`` She spat. ``Im fine`` She said, pulling her hood over her head, not caring if the teacher screamed at her.
She remained silent, her expression filled with a mix of frustration and disappointment. With a swift motion, she snatched her camera off the desk, the device reflecting the harsh light from the overhead bulbs. Without a word, she turned on her heel and strode out of the classroom, her eyes hard and unyielding as she cast a glare back at the group. The tension in the air hung heavy as the door clicked shut behind her, leaving a palpable silence in her wake.
