Happy New Year and welcome to the new (and hopefully improved) Wheel of TBR! As I stated in the message I sent out earlier in the week, we will trial this way of playing and if we like it we will keep it- if not we will scrap it. I did put a bit of work into creating the components of the game though so here's to hoping the trial is successful 🥂. The game play hasn't changed much other than the wheels I will be spinning but as always you can see the rules listed in the graphic above so I recommend doing that. Anyway, here are the first set of prompts for 2025!

The Prompts

Spin #1: Cover Wheel

Spin #2: Title Wheel

*First WORD begins with 'B'. SMH.

Spin #3: Setting/Trope Wheel

Spin #4: Misc. Wheel

*I swear I have not rigged the game! I can't believe this prompt has shown up 3 times in a row but alas, here we are.

Since we landed on double colors twice I need to add 2 extra spins from the misc. wheel for a total of 6 prompts this month!

Spin #5: Misc. Wheel

Spin #6: Misc. Wheel

*If none of the winners interest you I will also accept a 2024 nominee.

And that's a wrap! The way the wheels are set up there can never be more than 6 spins. The colors we land on for the bonus spins don't matter- we only add additional spins if we get double colors on the original 4 spins. I hope this makes sense to you and please don't forget to leave feedback on what you think of the changes. Thanks and I hope to see those TBR's soon!

Oh my god! I started it tonight and am already half way in haha, I'm loving it so far! I liked Yours Truly (which I didn't realize was the second one at the time I read it lol) but so far I like this one even more, I like the characters even better!

I finished Burn, The Great Alone, and The Women. I didn't particularly love any of them. Burn had an interesting premise, but possibly the worst ending of any book I've read. The Great Alone and The Women both felt emotionally manipulative, and I just didn't get sucked in. It probably didn't help that I listened to them back-to-back.
