Do I need to have read the first Miss Marple book in order to understand this book?

Had to raid my mums book collection to find this one! Excited to start.

Starting The Body in the Library today. This will be my first Agatha Christie novel... can't wait!!

Hi Jaz, no generally you do not need to read Miss Marple books in any particularly order. Its a series in the sense that the lead character is the same, but they can all be read as stand alone stories.

About 1/3 of the way through and surprisingly enjoying the story. Not sure why it's a Miss Marple mystery though, so far she's barely in the book?

I’m about a quarter of the way in and I’ve noticed the same thing.

So, I wonder if it’s ok to put our guesses for the possible murderer in this feed? Thought it might be fun as long as no one reveals the actual killer????

I love that Agatha Christie references herself on page 64. I keep thinking of the meme where Obama awards himself a medal.

This is so true, she's practically not in the book ...
