I was going to nominate something but I'd rather read a Trollope novella.

We only read literature written during the Victorian period (1837-1901), Gonza. Your nomination is first published in 1931, so falls outside the period. Would you care to make another nomination?

The moderators already have two books on the docket for 2025. The first is The Fate of Fenella, which is scheduled to begin in January. The second is Martin Chuzzlewit, which has come up in discussion and is scheduled to be read in the autumn.
So we need to start looking at what we’d like to read after February. To that end please use this space to nominate Victorian literature which you would like to read as a group in 2025. Bear in mind that we already have a novel by Mr. Dickens planned for this year, and that your nomination must adhere to the criteria below. Thank you.
•Please post your nominations here.
•One nomination per person and per author.
•Nomination thread will be up for one week or until we reach eight nominations. Then there will be a poll for voting.
•If possible, please include the link to the book you've nominated. (This can be done on the website.)
•Eligible nominations should be written and published in Great Britain between 1837 and 1901.
•PLEASE check the link below…
