Basically, it’s about fear being a disease and when someone fears, they are “sick.” The only way to cure this is through death, as seen throughout the novel.
However, one breaks free and finds himself touching upon some psychological constructs, and yes, it has a twist ending eminent of “The Dark Tower.”
