Hey Series Fanatics!

Welcome to HRBC's 8th Annual series reading challenge: Mad About series Challenge - 2025

Challenge yourself to read or finish as many Series as you like. The point is to see the series through, but where you begin for the challenge is up to you (for example, I'm starting #1 on one of my series and on book 3 of 4 for another because I've read the first 2).

RULES
- The Series read/completed from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 will be counted.
- Series may have any number of books.
- Inclusion/Exclusion of Prequels ( i.e. #0.5, #0.6) is participant's choice.
- Choose a level and create a post in this thread to serve as your tracking post. Don't forget to keep them up to date. Feel free to provide your star ratings in the post as well.
- Participants can change their level at any time during the challenge.
- BOTM and other Challenge cross- overs are acceptable.

Passionate (Level 1) : UP TO TWO series
Voracious (Level 2): THREE to FOUR series
Obsessive (Level 3): FIVE to SIX series
Addictive (Level 4) : SEVEN or MORE series

Wow. Some series I've never come across. I will check those out.

I've read and enjoyed Mackenzies and Mcbrides. Also Westcott series, which I mostly liked, although I don't think it's Ms Balogh's best series. I'm currently reading (and liking) the latest one in her newest 'Remember' series. I don't think I can count it for this challenge though, because I doubt the series will be finished with this book.

I try to choose varied types of series, so they don't start feeling the same. This year I plan to complete three series set in America, which is unusual for me.

Well I was reading Collette Cameron , Westwood Bride series. Read 4 on unlimited, knowing that the rest were on unlimited. They have now gone off unlimited. And they want £4-99 a book. Not a chance I will be paying that. 🤬

Happened to me but I checked local library and got lucky on some of my readings. Maybe at local library?

I have finished my second series, the Wildes of Lindow Castle by Eloisa James, with Wilde Child, which I enjoyed. Overall it was a pretty good series.


I did start both series I've read so far, last year, so it's not as good as it sounds LOL. But I'm happy to have finished them. Not sure which series I'll tackle next. I might browse and see what others are reading :)

I like WV stories . They are humorous and interesting and normally can get me out of a reading slump.
I am reading book 1 . And it is an enjoyable read.

Duchess By Chance was my first book by WV, so it's also my favorite. I hope you enjoy it!

I like WV books. I like the way her characters interact and love the humour in her stories. The first books I read of hers were her Sinclair and Raven series .
I enjoyed Duchess by Chance and am now reading Claire and Simon’s book, be interesting to see how they get together.

I love her for all the reasons you just listed. Her books have heart and humor. I will be curious what you think of the 2nd book. So many reviewers hate it, so I was hesitant to try it.

Thanks, everybody! 3 books is not a lot, but for me, it's hard. I don't think I can keep reading a series longer than 3 or 4 books. I'm impressed with anyone who can.

I am reading a series of 7 books at the moment. I read 2 or 3, then have a break and read a couple of other books. Then go back and read a few more from the series . Then have another break. Before I finish the series.
Personally I think this is a good way of getting through a long series.

I like your strategy, Shaz. Like Lauren, I sometimes struggle to read too many books of a long series just one after another. I usually prefer to have a break and read something else before going back to the series. Otherwise, it can get a bit too much, even when the series is great.

Shaz, I'll remember that trick. Usually, I take breaks between books. This time, I read 1st and 2nd books back to back. Big mistake!
