since we're already halfway through january, i thought it'd be easier to move on to february instead.
i'm thinking to do three books a month for more options for everyone; one from each genre.
please leave recommendations in the comments, and i'll look through them and decide at the end of the month x

here are some of mine:

• the do-over by lynn painter (it’s set during valentine’s day, and a re-read for me)
• the no-show by beth o’leary
• shatter me (a re-read for me)
• the naturals/the inheritance games (also both rereads)

message 10: by isabella (new)

isabella | 26 comments ohh yeah the do over by lynn painter is good for February

♡⋆˚Caitlin ୨୧˚⋆ | 63 comments I reckon a romance would be a good idea because of valentines day being in this month. It is also the beginning of spring (atleast where i live i know other countries msy be diffrent) and a romance book would fit the spring vibe!

Specific recs:
-Jane Austen (sense and sensibility and emma are my recs)
-Lynn painter (maybe the do-over as it is set on valentine's day?. Nothing like the movies could also be good as i feel like many people have read better than the movies but not as many have read the sequel)

@Caitlin yeah, i’m gonna do 1 from each main genre though! so one romance, one mystery and one fantasy, so at least one of them are bound to catch someone’s interest so they can join in at least one discussion each month if they want to

message 20: by ✨Caroline✨ (new)

✨Caroline✨ | 3 comments I would love to read Quicksilver! I have only heard good things about the book. It could also be really fun to read Serpent and the Wings of Night or Divine Rivals

message 21: by erin ۶ৎ (new)

erin ۶ৎ | 199 comments Mod
@Caroline i LOVE divine rivals it’s sooo good so i second that!

May ✿ | 26 comments Oh, I would love to read the do over!! I only read better than the movies and nothing like the movies by Lynn painter and I really want to read more of her books!!

message 23: by ryn (new)

ryn (rynnreads) | 2 comments maybe any romcom standalone book since feb is valentines month? I've seen some recommend do-over by lynn painter so maybe that one

message 24: by erin ۶ৎ (new)

erin ۶ৎ | 199 comments Mod
@ryn like i said, i’m gonna do one from each main genre, so 1 mystery, 1 fantasy and 1 romance a month. everyone does seem to be in favour for the do-over, so that will probably be the romance book for the month. does anyone have any other mystery and/or fantasy books to suggest?

message 25: by erin ۶ৎ (new)

erin ۶ৎ | 199 comments Mod
@May all of her books are SOOO good. her YA ones are better imo but they’re all so good. betting on you is another really good one if you’re interested in reading her books, but if you’re looking for an adult one by her, i like the love wager by her

message 26: by May ✿ (new)

May ✿ | 26 comments Thanks Erin!!! I’ll definitely try to get to them this year!🫶

♡⋆˚Caitlin ୨୧˚⋆ | 63 comments @erin maybe for the mystery botm Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney could be an option because it just came out. I'm not sure if it leans too thriller or if that is included in the overall mystery genre but its just an idea i had?

hm maybe 'the god of the woods' for the mystery botm, however it is very long.

erin ۶ৎ | 199 comments Mod
@Caitlin in my head, thriller books fall under the mystery genre, so that’s a good option!

@rue ahh okay! thank you for the suggestion x

message 31: by mar ۶ৎ (new)

mar ۶ৎ | 47 comments Maybe Deep End by Ali Hazelwood? It comes out on the 4th of february and I've been dying to read. I absolutely love her but I know not everyone likes her books so idk😭

message 32: by em ౨ৎ (new)

em ౨ৎ (em333) | 10 comments ooh yeah that book looks super cute and I've barely read any of her books so i second that ✨✨

message 33: by isabella (new)

isabella | 26 comments maybe for mystery the naturals? it would be a reread for me and I binged the entire series

message 34: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin Notarangelo (jasminnotarangelo08) | 11 comments Once Upon a Broken Heart (I need an excuse to read it lol) and The Naturals series (I really want to re-read).

message 35: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin Notarangelo (jasminnotarangelo08) | 11 comments We could also do a Jane Austen book!

Bailey (SHOWGIRL) ୨ৎ | 11 comments We could read Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccerelli. It is the second book in the Crimson Moth duology, so we don’t have to pick it. I comes out in Feb. though!

message 37: by Belle2011 (new)

Belle2011 Some books we could do is like a mystery called Everyone in my family has killed someone or a romance like kisses and croissants or a valentines book called My Phony valentine and a fantasy like Bow before the elf queen
