One of the first YA books I read, I remember when my local waterstones first put up the new shelf called Dark Fantasy, so I got this one, a holly black novel about fairies and the first true blood novel. I enjoyed all three of them, City of Bones was probably the most inventive of the three.

I was really happy when they made the movie but it was awful, so much was missed out, it probably would have been best as a series.

Yes this one is the best of the series. Throughout the whole series of books Simon's story is by far the best.

Same. I agree with Ashleigh. Usually the first books are the best because everything is new and exciting and there's usually so much to figure out about the characters and setting, etc. And the twist at the end in this book was just... x_x
