Alden, one of the twins, never said a word to anyone from the moment he was discovered in the house. When his older brother Elijah returns from Princeton, Alden later breaks down and reveals that he witness his mother being raped and his parents being tortured. As he’d not spoken since the fire, did you have an inkling that he seen something as terrible as this? Is there hope that in the long term he’ll overcome this trauma?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Yes, I was positive that this was exactly what Alden saw -- poor little guy.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I did. I figured that he has seen what happened and that is so traumatized him he couldn't talk about it. Kids are resilient and, with counselling, he can at least live with it.
