And we're off! The BFB is a new one. Hoping Robert Galbraith has a new Cormoran Strike this year!
Carol - I thought exactly the same about a new Cormoran Strike book being perfect for a big fat book! If we had that prompt last year mine could have been a Penn Cage book by Greg Iles.

At least I hope he gives him a rest.
I keep saying to myself I need to read Greg Illes book I own print ones so it's the size of them that scare me from picking one up. LOL.
Okay, added my first book, which I meant to read last year (and the year before and the year before that, LOL) but am reading now. Q: The Autobiography of Quincy Jones. Very interesting. The man was a musical genius.
lol Carol (“and the year before, and the year before”) sounds familiar. I have lots of books to fit that timeline 😀📚📚😀

Christina: I am very glad Greg Iles was able to complete his Penn Cage book arc, and am glad I read them all, but absolutely agree - they need some spacing apart. Just finished Q: The Autobiography of Quincy Jones. Brilliant.Just added our Group Read, Butter to the category of New-to-Me author.
Good for you Carol! That was quick - relative to being a BFB. Having just finished book two this past weekend I am not sure what my timing for tackling Onyx Storm will be.

That’s great carol. Not sure if or when I’m reading the second book yet. I had a ebook copy with the first one and don’t for second one. I would have to get library copy to read for limited time. So we shall see.

It's been awhile but I just added two more, one book in a different genre and one set in another country.Slowly but surely!!
Finished a debut author book and added three more TBR's to keep my focused.

Finished the first of my two series books and added a book in my 1-10 section that I just started reading. These are books on my owned TBR pile that I never get to and I'm determined to make a dent this year.
Good progress! Maybe we will both make a dent this year!
Finally cracked the top ten, and finished 15 and 16. Have also borrowed a couple of carefully selected books published before I was born; we'll see which I get to (if not both!)

Finished Kill Your Darlings by Peter Swanson, which just came out so fulfilled "came out this year."Am currently reading Wild Dark Shore which is a Group Read recommended by someone on the board, don't remember who.

LOL, Gail. I found Butter a little challenging to read but I'm really glad I did! I know everyone loved Wild Dark Shore, we'll see if I do too!
Okay, I did a switcheroo. I moved Wild Dark Shore to book that takes place in two countries and replaced it with The God of the Woods as a book that had been recommended to me. I'm making good progress!
