Gretchen tries to get Josie to open up by sharing her own traumatic childhood experiences at the hands of her mother who is now in prison. Do you think that made a difference with Josie?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I was glad that Gretchen shared her personal experience with Josie. I don't think it made much difference with Josie because Josie is such a tightly wound character. But at least Josie knows that Gretchen is someone she can talk to.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Gretchen is going to be an excellent addition to the series. I was grateful that she shared with Josie. Josie has someone she can trust now and in the future.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I enjoyed getting to know some of Gretchen's backstory. Hopefully someday Josie will be ready to share her history with Gretchen. It's going to come out in little dribbles to those close to her - if she allows it to come out at all.

I do believe it made a difference with Josie. After hearing Gretchen’s history, Josie realized they had a shared experience and maybe she didn’t need to repress this mess anymore. Time will tell. Baby steps.
